North London Junior/Friendly Fleadh – Sunday, 17th November
We’ve received an invite to participate in the North London Junior/Friendly Fleadh this year! It will take place at Salvatorian College, High Rd, Harrow HA3 5DY (please note that this is within the ULEZ zone). For those who remember, it’s similar to the Harringay Fleadh we used to attend.

Competitions will be held for all the usual Fleadh categories in U12, U15, and U18 (list below). There are also additional competitions for:

– U7 (One Tune Only): Whistle
– U9 (One Tune Only): Tin Whistle, Fiddle, Flute, Button Accordion, Concertina, Duets

This is a wonderful opportunity for musicians and singers who haven’t experienced a Fleadh before to get a feel for it, and for parents to learn more about the Fleadh environment. The focus is, as always, on fun and participation.

As a branch we are keen to enter the Grúpa Cheoil competition – a group ensemble that performs for 8 minutes – so if any of your children are under 15 would like to be involved, please speak to either Sharon or Sylvie at the Rathmore Club.

The deadline for entries is 31st October 2024 [entry form] [competition list]

Mill Road Winter Fair – Saturday 7th December
We are once again planning a group performance for the Mill Road Winter Fair, followed by a session afterward. Please save the date, and we’ll share more details as the event approaches!

End of Term Tutor-Led Christmas Session and Party – Wednesday 11th December – 7:00pm – The Rathmore Club.
All are invited and Christmas jumpers and hats are optional but fun! Please if possible bring prizes for the raffle and food items for the buffet. The raffle slowly builds up our bank account and keeps it stable each year.

Lessons will then resume on Wednesday 15th January 2025.
